Sold Out. While not a huge Virginia fan I had to get a few of these and the one I have gotten into so far makes me glad I did. In the second half these nuances get deeper, darker and a bit earthier. As I was putting it away, I noticed some other tins of Carolina Red Flake and pulled out the oldest to try. And now it seems it's gone for good. I wish that I had ordered more. It's the pure red VA spice. I don't want to wait a year for more, and I'm probably not alone. Some citrus is detectable but not grassy or haylike like brights. Every tobacco we produce is blended by hand in small batches, but we've never had the opportunity to really flex our creative muscles. And what about poor old Andy B.? Marble Kake does seem to have more depth of flavor imo. To my tastes, this is similar to Hearth and Home Marble Kake. There is a tanginess to the smoke that is always in the background and pronounced on the retrohale. Tin note is earthy and slightly sweet. Outstanding tobacco !
